Brisingr - Christopher Paolini The beginning was pretty good, until you got to the Varden and you had all the cutting. I'm not sure what was up with that. Saphira and Eragon kick some butt right in the beginning of the book thought which makes up for the Varden. I think it was when Eragon went to the dwarves when it got really bad. There was way too much description. After reading about a stone forest for what, three pages? It gets boring.

The book picks up again when Eragon leaves the dwarves though which is a plus. He gets a....weapon of which I will not speak. It's really cool! You learn a lot of interesting things in Brisingr. If it wasn't for the dwarves part, I probably wouldn't have many compaints.
