Pride and Prejudice - Carol Howard, Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice is quite possibly the best romance novel I have ever read. They just don't write romance like they used too. From practically the very beginning, I was captivated by Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. I've always loved the story of Pride and Prejudice since I'd seen the movie (with Keira Knightly) but I love it even more now that I've read Austen's masterpiece.

I really don't have any complaints except that I wish there had been more dialogue tags just to make some of the conversations easier to follow. That said though, often times when I was having this problem, I could usually identify who was talking because each character has a very specific voice and personality which is, naturally, reflected in the dialogue.

Austen was truly a gifted and magnificent author. Upon finishing this book, I found myself wishing that I had more of her novels at my finger tips.
