Twilight was a great book. I'll state from the very beginning that yes, the writing was not briliant but Stephenie Meyer can tell a story. And she can tell stories well. I think that's probably one of the biggest reasons why you have people who hate the first book reading the whole saga. They may hate the story, but I think to an extent, they are drawn in by her talent of being able to tell the story. Moving on.... I think Alice was my favorite character, besides Edward. But I do admit, I like Jacob more than Edward, but I should save that for New Moon....Bella is an easy and nice character to follow the story with.
I had previously detested romance novels. I was somewhat hesitant to actually pick this one up. But, I put my pride aside and read it. I was instantly captivated. Meyer is actually the reason why I'm even willing to read a romance novel. I haven't found another romance novel I've wanted to read since the Twilight Saga but I'm willing to read one.
